Description
Indian agent B. A. James wrote this resolution of the Ottawa tribe's full council. They stated that they could not find any of their tribe who were guilty of involvement in the difficulties between the pro-slavery and the abolitionists in Kansas. Furthermore, they pledged to stay neutral as long as they were left alone. James writes that this is a certified copy of an original letter which was on file in his office.
