Description

This short newspaper clipping tells of the razing of the Allison home at 2nd and Hickory and some of its history. Mrs. L. R. Crawford says that the first classes of Ottawa University were held in this house. This was before the building of Tauy Jones Hall in 1887. In 1868-1869 the house was used as a boarding house.
