Description
E. A. Rollins, as acting commissioner of the Treasury Department, wrote a letter in response to one written by Tauy Jones. This letter explains that no mention was made in the new excise law about taxing members of the Native American Reservations in the territories of the U.S. so the Commisioner explains that no memeber of the tribe who resides on the reservation is responsible for paying the excise tax.
