Description

Newspaper article by John Mark Lambertson originally published in The Ottawa Herald August 26, 1988, the first of a two-part series. The second as published in The Ottawa Herald August 27, 1988. Kathrine White was the daughter-in-law of Emporia Gazette editor William Allen White and wife of William Lindsay White. She was born in Cawker City in 1903 but moved to Ottawa when she was five. Her father opened the Klinkenberg Drug Store at 304 S. Main.
