J. L. Turner is proprietor of a well kept livery, feed, sale and boarding stable at 113 West Second street. A livery convenience is an essential of every close community. Good and well trained horses, easy vehicle and careful drivers are the best features of such an organization. Mr. Turner has in his barn all these qualities. His teams, buggies, carriages and other vehicles have been selected with special reference to public accommodation, and no pains are spared to give individual and public satisfaction. The boarding department offers to patrons especial care, experienced grooms and approved fate. Mr. Turner has conducted the barn the past five years and has had a lifetime experience with horses. He owns a beautiful percheron horse known as “Moscow,” register number 14282. He is coal black splendid horse eight years old, and took first prize at the Franklin county fair in 1896, competing with many good horses of his kind. The percheron is the king of draft horses, and this noble animal is worth the admiration of the best judges anywhere. Mr. Turner has been a resident of Franklin county 19 years and has a host of friends all over this locality. He is one of the oldest liverymen in the city and has always been noted for his fairness and courtesy to customers. Countrymen visiting town would consult their own interest by patronizing his barn, and citizens of town would find it more convenient and equally as cheap to board their horses here as to take care of them at home.
