Description

The picture on this postcard shows the court of the May Queen. According to The Ottawa Campus newspaper this was the first of the annual May Day fetes at Ottawa University. The Queen is Ruth Larson. The six maids-of-honor were Goldena Hall and Bessie Kennedy (juniors), Mabel Wynne and Greta Hubbard (sophomores), and Bess Allen and Esther Hobbs (freshmen). The six gentlemen attendants were David Stallard and George Peterson (seniors), Sam Marsh and Ward Miles (juniors), Glenn Flint and Ransom Bennett (sophomores). The flower maidens are La Verna Harlan, Betty Lou Clark, and Evelyn Scott.
