Description
Lewis Henry Morgan, American anthropologist, studied kinship of the American Indians. He created a questionnaire which others could complete so he could collect data in a standardized way. This printed schedule has instructions and background information. The printed date on the form is 1859. This is a eight page chart showing familial relationships in a native language. It is a printed form with the native words written in by hand. It was filled out by Simeon D. Harvey of Harveysburg, Ohio, on 3 June 1859. Also signing the form are Lewis Daugherty, Levi Hunt, and Sharonee Ka. There is a vowel chart . The pages are tied together with string at the top.
