Description
This is the original letter sent to Columbus Delano, Secretary of the Interior, by Henry Beard in June 1872. Beard was the treasurer for Ottawa University. The letter expresses the concern the treasurer has about the constitutionality of the law which was passed and is called An Act for the relief of certain Indians in the Central Superintendency. Beard requests that Mr. Delano refer the law to the U.S. Attorney General to determine its constitutionality.
