Newspaper article written by John Mark Lambertson about an altercation between Ben Sherman and brothers Charles and Hamilton Lathrop in Ottawa that resulted in the death of Charles Lathrop. Two rival undertakers then got into a fight over the corpse, during which one of them was stabbed. Newspaper article includes photo of the building on the east side of the 100 block of south Main Street that housed Lathrop Bros. Grocery.
