The Missouri and Kansas Telephone Co. furnishes our city with a complete service. They have 144 patrons in the city and applications which will shortly insure a much larger use of the phones. They furnish business houses at $1.50 a month and residences at 75 cents, which is a minimum rate considering the excellence and convenience of the service. They connect with all western towns and cities of importance and furnish our city with most valuable facilities of communication. The switch board and all fixtures of the plant here are of the latest and best. Mr. W. C. Cooper, who assumed the local management September 1st inst., informs us that he has adopted the six second service, which means that inside of six seconds calls are answered by central. Mr. Cooper is a young man, enthusiastic for the interest of his company, with whom he has been connected eight years. He spares no pains, furthermore, in serving the best interests of the public. He would be glad to have patrons call and see him at his office and get acquainted. Our word for it, those who make the acquaintance of Mr. Cooper will be convinced that he is a most congenial young gentleman and will become popular with our people.
