Metropolitan and up to-date methods good goods at low prices are the distinctive features of this grocery house located at 117-119 East Second St. This place was established in 1905 and at present enjoys a large patronage from the particular people who want the best goods with quick and courteous service. This store is conducted on a strictly cash basis with four deliveries daily to all parts of the city. The prices are very low when considering the quality of merchandise and the guarantee accompanying all orders. A large line of staple and fancy groceries, smoked and dried meats, vegetables, produce, flour, feed, etc., is handled, which is attractively displayed in the 7,000 square feet of floor space which this store occupies. Owing to the large trade, six clerks are employed to supply the large and ever increasing patronage. The business occupies the largest store room devoted to this purpose in this city and is the only provision house equipped with cash carriers and systematic equipment which is found in the larger cities. Mr. John D. Mathias, the enterprising proprietor, was born in this city in 1883, and is a valued member of the M. W. A.
