Ottawa possesses a number of up-to-date and metropolitan hotels, one among which we wish to call particular attention is the above named hotel located at the corner of Tecumseh and Walnut streets opposite the Santa Fe depot. This hotel is prominent among the traveling public and has a favorable reputation among all. It was established in 1889 and affords ample accommodation for any reasonable number of guests. The hotel is well appointed, lighted, heated and ventilated by the latest known methods, it has a large and comfortable dining room, parlor and reading room, it has seventy-eight bed rooms furnished elegantly with and without bath, the rates are $1.50 and $2.00, American plan. Mr. Joe Marsh, the proprietor and active manager of this hotel was born in Ohio in 1836.
