C. F. Avenarius is proprietor of the “Cannon Ball” Livery, Sale and Feed Stable, located at 118 and 120 East Second street. This stable is first class in all appointments, furnishing the finest turnouts, promptly, on all occasions. One of the specialties besides fine livery, is boarding horses. The Cannon Ball stable is the home of “South Side Medium,” a fine, standard-bred young stallion, with a 3-year-old trial of :28. His dam, Amorette, is registered in the great brood mare list, and he is the only stallion in this section with this distinction. Cannon Ball telephone numbers are: Bell telephone, 41-2, residence, 41-3; Ottawa telephone, 86. Mr. Avenarius is the oldest liveryman in the city. He came here when a boy, and worked for $12 a month in the stable he now owns. His success is due solely to industry and strict attention to business, and from a poor boy, in 1884, when he came here, he now ranks among our best and substantial business men.
