Dr. James Ball was born in Keokuk County, Iowa, in 1866. He secured his preliminary education in common schools, and the state normal of Kansas. He received his medical education at the Kansas City Homeopathic Medical College, of Kansas City, Missouri. He also took a post-graduate course in Chicago. He has well appointed offices in this city at 203 South Main St., and conducts a general practice of surgery and medicine. He is the center of a large and growing circle and has become very prominent as a successful physician during the seventeen years in which he has been practicing. He was located in Melvern, Kansas for 13 years and has been in Ottawa for the last four years. He is secretary of the Franklin County Medical society, and a member of the Masons, K. of P., and I. O. O. F.
