No class of business is more a necessity in this advanced stage of living than the druggist. The druggist’s art is one of the sciences that has a wide range and demands talent to accomplish the best. This drug store at 214 North Main Street as established in 1895 by P. J. Youngberg, father of the present proprietor. A large stock of pure drugs, chemicals, toilet articles, rubber goods, perfumery, etc. are handled; also a fine line of imported and domestic cigars, smoker’s supplies, etc. A soda fountain is operated, ice cream and confectionery is handled, and a specialty made of filling physician’s prescriptions. Mr. J. E. Youngberg was born in Lawrence, Kansas. He received his education at the State University there.
